unny Sunday Summer Afternoon


Easy pitch softball
underhand and to the bat
we three 
in the elementary school field
no ego
just for fun
Hit the ball
back to pitcher
the mommy
me
to toss again
it is I who needs practice
at living the simple life
not the batters
they understand 
that life is to be lived
they teach me to stop
and take the time
