Spring

please shut the door
what’s out is not what’s in
pull up a seat
There by the window
in the warm
Jasmine tea and rose petal scones
Enjoy the painting
of the snowy window there
by my boxed and treasured spring
it’s always spring
here in my place
I trap it here
the smell of the soil
warm in the sun
the taste of the violets
floating here in the tea
it’s always spring here
here in my heart
there by the window seat
‘neath the snow on the roof
and the scorching heat
always spring here
enter in
sit and share my tea
