When you awake
you will find
the elves have been here
and cleaned what you left behind

the bathtub now
so shiny it gleams
the hair and scum
merely remnants of a bad dream

The dishes scattered
hither and yon
stuck fast with nummies
magically all are now gone

The wrappers from pens
from shirts and more
those too are gone
no longer scattered all over the floor

The elves (or elf)
finished it trice
if this elf can do it
so can the adult type mice!
