yet always to learn
I wish
I wish that I had known
back in the day
it is not in the failing
that I’m defined
but in the fear
of trying
in the fear
of failing
in the fear
of skinning my knees
those fears
that stopped me
even from trying
I see
now
that I need to try
for in the failure
for in the fear
of failing
of succeeding
of flying and being
it is the learning
that sets me free
