You Don’t Know

You don’t know
you can’t
and until you do
what you can’t possibly ever do
don’t freaking sit there
and judge

You don’t know
you can’t feel
you don’t and you don’t and you don’t
but I do

the fine crushed glass
that sits silently
deep within
my fingers
my wrists and toes
my knees
silent
until

it screams

and when it screams
there is nothing
NOTHING
that is beyond the realm of reason

when it burns
and screams
those silent screams
that echo down the neurons to burst behind your brain
those are the days when

your mindless blather
comes screaming back
to kick
where the pain is deepest
and reminds me
that
even though you can’t
and you don’t
and you never ever ever could
still you do

You are not me
and you can not know
so take your platitudes
and go somewhere
where you can be
your own god
