I am not a swan
Never been
never will be
I am a duck
sometimes
you know
like… always and forever…
ducks grow up to be ducks
and
thinking that you will someday
grow up
to be a swan
just because you are a different kind of duck
doesn’t mean
that ducks are not stunningly beautiful
that ducks
are meant to be ducks
and it means
that it’s perfectly okay
to sport your beautifully
duckness
and fly!
